Elizabeth Blacker  c1795 – 1871

1795. Born 1796-1799, Lambeth, [ages from 2 censuses, Lambeth from 1851C, Surrey from 1841C, but Yorkshire in 1871C!] parents unknown at present. Failed to find her baptism in St.George the Martyr records in LMA, August 2009, nor, 1793-1799 in St Mary's Lambeth on London Parish Records [very legible].. Blacker an unusual name: investigate in London Parish Records - if ever indexed. A Mary Blacker died, aged 75, in Lambeth Workhouse in 1821 - could she be Elizabeth's mother?? . Also she could seemingly write- from a, her1820 m.c, b being the informant on the birth of son Joseph in 1838.

1853?.   Possible death in Lambeth for husband, John Richards. 'Jun'  1854 Lambeth 1d.235 Death Certificate.DR1., but am certain now that this is not he. !.

1851-1861??. Does Elizabeth die? 'Sep' Lambeth  1d.202 1859 is not her but that of a 9yr old, daughter of Edward Richards, at 79 Princes Street Lambeth & 1852 death is not her either, but that of a 2 yr old. There is one other death entry in Lambeth: that of an Elizabeth Ann Richards, Dec1858, but with an unreadable page number, maybe 1d.223

Not found in 1861C nor she in 1871C, yet seemingly her husband, as John Richard, 73, is- at 53 Union Streeet, Lambeth, but census states with wife Mary, 70, born Yorkshire- can only surely be the enumerator's madness?? . but, . There is indeed an Elizabeth Blacker born in Emley, Yorkshire, in 1799 , to John & Deborah Blacker - Findmypast. And John Blacker married Deborah Haigh in Emley in 1794; this Deborah Blacker dying in 1803 Emley. There are Ancestry family trees with this couple and their children, born 1794-1803, but.none have a marriage for Elizabeth Blacker . Also an Elizabeth Blacker baptised Thorganby York 1798

1871 And I have the1/11/1871 death cert. for her husband, at 53 Union Street, Lambeth, informant, mark of, Elizabeth Richards, same address,.Then there is also a Lambeth death in the same quarter for an Elizabeth Richards, 72.. No Ancestry burials for them

My feeling in 2014 is that the name of Mary in the 1871C is a mistake, but do feel Elizabeth Blacker might have been born 1799 in Emley, Yorkshire

Her children.

There were many Blackers in Chilton Somerset, some of these arriving in Surrey after ~1820. But Elizabeth's parents must have been in Surrey by ~1797.Have I searched for a Blacker marriage 1790-1799?
