1860 . Born London City/Barbican from census entries . No BMD entry but from Findmypast -Parchment Louisa born East .London 1c.32 Jun 1860 1st surviving daughter of a family of Silkweavers, who moved from Braintree to Bethnal Green around 1856. . Parents William Parchment & Charlotte Bennett.

1874. Her mother, Charlotte, dies, 27/12/1874, aged 42 at 38 Moss St.,Bethnal Green. Have d.c.DP3. Louisa aged 14, the eldest daughter. .

1881C. Louisa Parchment, aged 20, crape weaver, lodger, living at 294 Coggeshall Road, Braintree with James Ellingford, 64, & family, but Louisa wrongly given as born Bocking - the Ellingfords would appear to be long time family friends: William Ellingford, father of James, was witness to the 1842 wedding of Samuel Parchment, Louisa's uncle. & a Thomas Ellingford is living next to a Parchment in 1891C??? - clarify

1884. Louisa Parchment married Arthur Suckling 6/10/1884 , St.Andrews, Islington. He 20, milkman, of 37 Charlotte St., father John Suckling, labourer, deceased. She 24, of 14 South St., father William Parchment, silk weaver, deceased. One of the witnesses was William Fedden, who had married her sister, Elizabeth Parchment, in 1882. She seems to have learnt to write her name between 1882 & 1884!

Islington except Sydney b. Walthamstow. Family living in Westhill Road, South Wonston, Mirkeldewer, Hants [Winchester district] in 4 rooms. An Albert Suckling, 19, servant, hairdresser b.Barnsbury?, London, living at a hairdressers[Taylor] at 80, High St.,Horsey, London.

1916 ....Two of their sons, Albert & Clarence, were killed 1916, within a month of each other, on the Somme In 1916 Arthur & Louisa were living at 2, Moss Villas, Elmhurst Rd., Langley, Bucks.

1950 Her husband, Arthur Suckling , died 1950, Dec Braintree, aged 86. Lauren apparently obtained his death cert in 2007 and date was 12/12/1950, informant E.A.Suckling, Son, St.Ranans', Panpret Road (Spelling> unsure) Elgin, Morayshire . In 1950, Louisa was living at 298 Coggelshall Rd, Braintree[have photo of this from Lauren]

1953 Louisa Suckling herself died Mar 1953 Maldon age 92...
